Raiffeisen Bank Aval has supported the charity project for the rehabilitation of children after surgery for prosthetic hearing

Kiev. March 7. - Raiffeisen Bank Aval has provided financial assistance in the amount of 50 thousand UAH for the project of rehabilitation of children with hearing “the World, I hear you!” initiated by the International charity Fund «Ukraine! I am for you!”. 

This project aims to help children who have undergone surgery for prosthetic hearing (a cochlear implant) to adapt to society, to begin to listen and to speak.

a Cochlear implant is a surgically implanted electronic device that helps provide a sense of sound in people who do not have hearing or have very reduced hearing. A cochlear implant is often called a bionic ear.

All young children critically need rehabilitation after such an operation. Without vocational rehabilitation child with a cochlear implant will not be able to adapt to the world of people who do not have hearing problems and cannot talk.

Raiffeisen Bank Aval decided to support the project organization of rehabilitation camps for children after cochlear implantation at the sanatorium “Country” in the Volyn region. The camp will greatly facilitate children's access to the services of qualified rehabilitators.

This specialized camp provides children with a cochlear implant, the ability to troubleshoot, setup, sound processor, possibility to receive services for the deaf, speech therapist, psychologist, undergo music and art therapy, to attend classes on the development of auditory perception and speech correction, the formation of physiological and speech breathing, the development of micro - and macrometric, a sense of rhythm.

in addition, the rehabilitation camp provides parents of children with these implants the opportunity to increase the level of knowledge in the field of audiology, physiology of hearing and speech, and learn the basic techniques of child training.
