The RBI published its annual report on sustainable development
Kiev. April 19. – Austrian parent company of Raiffeisen Bank Aval Raiffeisen Bank international AG (Raiffeisen Bank International AG) – recently published annual report on sustainable development (RBI Group Sustainability Report) in accordance with the requirements of the Global reporting initiative (Global Reporting Initiative).
consolidated report includes data on non-financial activities of all network banks of Raiffeisen Bank international (RBI) in Central and Eastern Europe.
It includes the following topics:
- banker Responsible (the"Responsible banker"), which sets out the liability of the Bank in its core activities from the point of view of sustainable development criteria (adapted to customers ' needs, including with disabilities, taking into account social and environmental criteria in lending, improved access to banking products, special conditions for pensioners, students, etc.), as well as responsibility for quality of products/services and environmental responsibility;
- Fair partner ("an Honest partner") – concerns fair and transparent business practices, combat corruption and fraud, social security, safety, health and staff development, non-discrimination on any grounds, equal rights for all; responsible marketing law, consumer rights and fair competition; information transparency; adherence to the principles of saving resources and preserving the environment (activities within the Bank);
- of amalur citizen ("a Concerned citizen") – covers projects and initiatives of the Bank in the areas of sponsorship, philanthropy, corporate volunteerism, financial literacy.
the sustainability report presents the quantitative and qualitative indicators concerning different aspects of activities of banks, RBI subject to compliance with the principles of sustainable development in three ways:
- economic (economic activities, market presence, indirect economic impacts of activities);
- social (employment, decent working conditions, development, equal rights staff; non-discrimination, anti-corruption measures, responsibility to the consumers, fair competition, and the like);
- ecological (savings of water, electricity, materials; reduction of harmful emissions into the environment, waste management, efficient logistics, etc.).
